After a few years of radio silence, Adobe was looking to reconnect with the print design community. The answer, of course, was a print piece. The front speaks to the unique skills and quirks of print designers, reinforcing Adobe as a long-standing partner in the trade. The reverse is the proof behind the praise, breaking down what’s new in Design Standard that makes the upgrade worth the money.

The piece received an order rate 2.5x greater than previous direct mail efforts and achieved a 620% ROI. It also outperformed other pieces that were solely offer focused. What was even more impressive was that the piece was shared on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and the blogosphere. The audience actively shared pictures and praised the piece. We even received an email from a Canadian who had seen the piece on a friend's wall while visiting the U.S. and wanted copies for herself and several friends—quite possibly a first in direct mail history.
